I have made my first version of the popular Jalie Scarf Collar top. The only change I made was to shorten the ties by 2". Love, love this top. Easy to make, great to wear. Nothing else to say...
Then as I enjoyed that so much I made another twist top Jalie 2788. Love it also...
All stash fabrics!
You can also see my new denim skirt in these shots (taken on a week-end to the beach). I am posting about the skirt next with details on how I handled the top-stitching.

Love both your tops but especially the scarf top. My pattern arrived the other day and I put it away for winter. I think I need to dig it out again. :)
ReplyDeletewow! wow! Great job on both tops. I totally love that scarf top, it's so clever. You rocked those knits.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you are making variations on a theme. That black and white fabric is pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Jalie is meant for you! Great tops. Love the yellow, but I also love the black/white print.
ReplyDeleteWow, great outfits! I might have to get that Jalie top. I had been resisting because I have SO many patterns on my "to do" list, but between these great tops and the great results that people are having with their jeans, I may have to place an order!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tops, liked to see the scarf top without sleeves. Love your version of both.
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous and lively tops, Sue!
ReplyDeleteVery nice job - you look great.
ReplyDeleteYour tops are stunning! Love the black 'n white print Jalie!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tops and fabrics!!! you look really great in yellow!
ReplyDeleteYour scarf collar top looks great!! I love the fabric you chose. I have picked the fabric for my second one, but I have so many projects I want to make right now. So little time . . .
ReplyDeleteBoth are great! Quick, easy and looks fantastic, what more could you want from a knit top pattern? Easy to see why Jalie is so popular.
ReplyDeleteGreat tops! I don't have any Jalie patterns....yet.
ReplyDeleteLove those Jalies and your skirt looks great too...I'll be waiting for your review.
ReplyDeleteLove both tops on you, they look fantastic, and so does the skirt.
ReplyDeleteEverywhere I look I see this scarf neck top. I think it's time to buy this pattern myself. It looks lovely in the black and white fabric.
ReplyDeleteThey are both great tops!
ReplyDeleteThose are both really cute! I am so jealous you're at the beach (though it was oddly hot in DC this morning).
ReplyDeleteLovely tops! I have the scarf top on my list to order this week. Is that b&w fabric from Spotlight? I think I have the same one. :)
