At the stage where I am going to ask my sewing pals to help me tweak the fit and mark the hem...(the colour is not quite true - it is an avocado green).
There are ways I could improve it if I sewed it again and I have learnt a bit by making it. However for the moment I need to walk away from it and I will get my sewing pals assistance on Monday. Two weeks to the ball...
It is looking amazing. Avocado green will look great on you. I am looking forward to the dressed up photos.
ReplyDeleteI made my one and only ball gown from the same issue, there are some great evening dress patterns in that magazine. Mine was slightly marred by having my husband mark the hem in the hotel room 2 hours before the ball(rather crookedly), you sound much more organised!
Sue this looks beautiful! You will be the belle of the ball :)

Your dress is gorgeous. I love the open neckline swathed in the shiny satin. It is similar to the brides maid dresses I made for my wedding, and still love to this day.
ReplyDeleteThats a remarkable looking gown!!!
