If you have more of this fabric left you could add two thick long ties in the front that you can wrap twice around yourself and either tie or make a bow at the back-that'll emphasise the waist without blocking the silhouette at the front..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220148418489217731.post-41406571153635551842012-09-10T14:02:40.294+10:002012-09-10T14:02:40.294+10:00Lovely summery jacket and perfect colour. I think the ribbon might better be replaced with narrow ties from the the linen if you have enough, or maybe some nice silver clasps? The ribbon seems to me a distraction from the shape of the front, maybe becuse it is slightly different colour or perhaps it is because of the way the ribbon is sitting. Perhaps a same fabric tie around secured in the side seams or at centre front would work better?Stephanie Newmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02779662119039675249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220148418489217731.post-82774950556916007002012-09-09T09:17:19.972+10:002012-09-09T09:17:19.972+10:00Love your jacket - great on trend colour! I love the seaming, and the ties look quite pretty with the variegated ribbon, but maybe a different closure would look cleaner- it is such a focus area of the jacket from the front and the ties are casual. For Cassie's, I made spaghetti straps of the same bias cotton that I used for the HongKong seaming, so it doesn't slip about.<br />and thank you for the mention! :)Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03156106727490224625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220148418489217731.post-20055966141051986382012-09-08T21:28:48.225+10:002012-09-08T21:28:48.225+10:00This looks great on you.
