It will have to be DD1's dress made for halloween - semi circular skirt with sleeveless bodice, in lilac/white stripe with a purple/green embroidered net overlay on the bodice and skirt - bodice is fully self lined (seemed easier than bias binding the neck/armhole edges), and all seams are french seams (seemed quieter on the sewing machine than on the overlocker)... all done from 9pm through to 6am on Thu evening.
We'll be starting earlier for next year's fairy halloween outfit... and I will be using a pattern (rather than trying to wing it!)
I do like your blog and enjoy popping in rather more than i should...!!
Gillian (teagg)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220148418489217731.post-88227152289661552362008-11-05T09:33:00.000+10:002008-11-05T09:33:00.000+10:00I thought I'd left a comment but it's not ...I thought I'd left a comment but it's not here...so I'll try again (& change my answer LOL). I also made a rectangular scarf and a fabric flower from the same fabric. I can wear it in lots of different ways and with lots of different things!! It has been a real turning point for me. I will make a number of accessories with the clothes so that I can better utilise my wardrobe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220148418489217731.post-66299337313095267612008-11-03T10:04:00.000+10:002008-11-03T10:04:00.000+10:00Hi,Beginning sewer here. Inserted onto the side on the front with gathering. Lovely purple with flowers. She even added 2 inches to the length, because I have a long waist!

yogawithgaileee at gmail dot comYoga with Gaileeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05660714829157989393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220148418489217731.post-83507106121969724492008-11-03T05:49:00.000+10:002008-11-03T05:49:00.000+10:00My favorite item at the moment is my blue coat wit...My favorite item at the moment is my blue coat with a peterpan collar- it was a RTW, as my sewing skills are not yet sharp enough to make a coat!
Thanks for entering me in your drawing

maumauisginger at gmail dot comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17857042885212044981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220148418489217731.post-65122931622765489652008-11-02T12:36:00.000+10:002008-11-02T12:36:00.000+10:00My favourite thing at the moment is my Daisy skirt...My favourite thing at the moment is my Daisy skirt!!
